How to Become a Phlebotomist

In order to become a Phlebotomist one has to obtain certification in the medical field of several courses related to medicine.
A Phlebotomist is a qualified medical person who has been trained to draw blood from a live person or animal. This may be done through venepuncture or collecting small amount of blood through fingerpicks. It can be obtained from any artery in the wrist or bend in the arm.
Various options exist if you want to become a Phlebotomist and they range from certification to diplomas and degrees. The course can take from 3 months up to a year depending on how far one would like to study this particular subject. If you're looking to earn a decent income in a short space of time, become a Phlebotomist and then you can choose which path you want to study further in and what you want to specialize in.
However, remember that Phlebotomists need to be people who care about other people and have lots of patience for patients.
